I have simple solution for this, i had the same issues with Zekr 1.0.0 on Ubuntu 11.04 and now on 11.10 if you did install Zekr via repository, try this:
copy zekr file to a new one called (for example) just "Zekr" with capital "Z" % sudo cp /usr/bin/zekr /usr/bin/Zekr now edit original "zekr" file % sudo nano /usr/bin/zekr or % sudo gedit /usr/bin/zekr delete all content of the file and copy this: #! /bin/bash padsp /usr/bin/Zekr This should solve the problem. If you downloaded zekr from official site (.tar.gz) you need just create a new file with same content as above and pointing to the zekr executable file location, for example if your zekr directory is in your home dir, you need to create new file with content #! /bin/bash padsp ~/zekr/zekr.sh -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Sabily Team, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/784908 Title: Zekr don't play any sound Status in Sabily: New Status in Zekr Quran Study Tool: New Bug description: The audio player in Zekr 1.0.0 is not working!
