Another thing is that you include other java libraries in mualim.jar, which is not the right thing to do, but that can be handled when making the Debian/Ubuntu package anyways. As for hosting the code on launchpad, I recommend that you first register a team in Launchpad for Muallim developers (if I remember correctly, there is more than one person working on that project, right?).
