assalamu alaykum, Why don't you use Vala? It's the c# syntax and it generates pure c code, so no need of a runtime=better performance. Otherwise Mono ships with ubuntu; recently I have removed Mono to try to make a CD version of Sabily. But we could ship mono on the Sabily DVD as there is some space left.
