assalamu alaykum, On karmic (ubuntu 9.10) grub2 will be installed by default; so we need a new picture to display in grub's background. The image should be: .tga, .png or .jpg, 640x480, 8-bit/color RGB, non-interlaced. The current picture used in Sabily is here: http://www.wuala.com/jmehdi/UbuntuME-Pictures%20sources/grub How to change grub2 image: http://www.ubuntu-inside.me/2009/06/howto-change-grub2-grub-pc-splash-image.html some examples: sudo apt-get install grub2-splashimages (images are in /usr/share/images/grub) So, graphic designers... it's up to you! -- Mehdi Administrator of the Sabily project (formerly Ubuntu Muslim Edition project)http://www.sabily.org _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~sabily.team<https://launchpad.net/%7Esabily.team> Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~sabily.team<https://launchpad.net/%7Esabily.team> More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp -- عبد المنعم كوكة Abdelmonam Kouka Software Engineer GNU/Linux user #450141 GPG Fingerprint: EC21 1E4E 5B0C E4E7 0D64 3305 0D62 75C9 2C15 16E0 ================================================ "Some people see things as they are and say why.
