I'm trying to install s3cmd into a shared machine, on which I *don't* have root access, only normal user.
For this reason, I'm receiving an error while installing s3cmd: $ python setup.py install Using xml.etree.ElementTree for XML processing running install running build running build_py running build_scripts running install_lib creating /usr/local/lib/python2.6/site-packages/S3 error: could not create '/usr/local/lib/python2.6/site-packages/S3': Permission denied Is there any way to install S3cmd into another directory? I can't write to /usr/local/lib/python2.6/site-packages/ Thanks, Hermann ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
