You want an option to prefer one over the other. No we do not have anything such yet, neither "exclusively this" nor "preferably that". (In general we deal very badly with IPv6, you cannot specify this literally, only IPv4.) Maybe include such a thing in the new -config syntax, yet only done for smtp-config, which allows a comma-separated list of things to be said. Maybe [+-]ipv[46], as in +ipv4 meaning "prefer this" and -ipv6 meaning "exclude this entirely"? If we have such a toggle the implementation as such should be easy. Will do this for v14.10.0, thank you!
