I wrote |hereby i announce S-nail v14.10.0-alpha, an ALPHA release of |v14.10.0 "Mountains O' Things". | |(The version of the alpha release is broken, it says v-dirty.0.0.)
This bug of mk/make-version.sh is now fixed, but only applied to development builds, actually. As i have mentioned on s-mailx@ multiple times, the code status is very stable, this is not a real release only because some things are missing which i really want to include in the real shipout. (And certain bugs, yes, but except for the $(( )) ?: condition one these are present in shipout code, already; and the $(()) one is almost impossible to reach in real life.) I had forgotten to note the new `headerorder' command: [Only new quoting rules] The former shows the order list with‐ out arguments, then it supports >†. Otherwise the arguments are appended to the header field order list that is honoured when displaying (type†) or quoting (forward†, reply†, quote†) messages; unordered header fields are shown last in natural or‐ der. The latter removes the given header fields from the list, asterisk ‘*’ removes all. Matching is case-insensitive. I am also sorry for the terrible look of the online manual of s-nail-config(7), the groff (1.23) HTML driver does a particularly bad job with that one. Maybe i should use mandoc(1) for that, but, of course, mandoc does not support the mdocmx anchors and references .. yet that file only has these sparingly. Well. On the terminal it looks just fine. So that is this. The final release hopefully ships this year. I promise to do my best, but there are a lot of things to do, and unfortunately i have so few time for programming, still, that it is really sad. I would be happy for ideas, bug reports, whatever shows up. I think the v14.10.0 series is a real step forward, but, of course, the MIME machine rewrite is still not done. That is v15. I wish you all a good time!
