 |mawk. I didn't think it was a bug, I thought you just started using some
 |extension not supported by mawk, otherwise I would have told you.

Ok, great.  It was really only that i did not know about this
peculiar and specific Debian/mawk story.  Character classes are
really old, but you just need to know about it.

Now that you are here, Paride, do you have any plans for updating
to v14.9.13, it fixes quite some bugs etc. etc.?  This would be
very nice.  (You know, always a shame thinking that people could
encounter all those many terrible and not so terrible bugs, and
say what, it feels _much_ better when the stuff is current. :)
