Actually, if you use *socks-proxy*, we only look up the host name of the proxy iirc, the real connection end point will be done by the SOCKS proxy, so this can be avoided by adding an entry to /etc/hosts, or by using an IP address, which the C library resolver should treat via the logical short path. |A nice weekend, Dohle!
