Yepp, works exactly this way, i.e. it's fine now. The changes get
written back to the spool file. Thanks for the quick fix!

(I find the second debug message a bit irritating but considering
it's a debug message it doesn't *have* to make much sense -- as long
as it is providing you a meaningful trace.)
