Oh i'm sorry!  I _do_ remember running into the situation, but
instead of tripping the "fix-the-code" action it just lead me to
setting *user* back then..  :-(!

Sure. :)  Thanks for reporting this; i had changed the type of
the argument list (in cmd_tab.h) from RAWLIST to ECHOLIST when
i merged all the mailing-list / shortcut and alias stuff to use
the same code.  But false, false.
Note that i changed the argument type of the mailing list commands
to RAWLIST so that they (alias, shortcut, ml stuff) now all use
the same type.
