|I'm sorry, I just don't get it. :-( It's either some kind of corner
|case that I'm not aware of or I'm simply too stupid. :-) How can the
|soft NLs add data? They're part of the encoded string. Your code
|suggests that soft NLs get added to the input stream and that they, too,
|will be encoded ("again").
Argh, that hurts!!! Unfortunately not a stream here until v15.0 ;)
