Steffen's recent mentioning of his target "re`work the addressing scheme"
reminded me of something I often miss in nail/s-nail/mailxen in current BSDs.

All too often, I am too quick to delete some message and a bit later I
need to resurrect it using the "u[ndelete]" command.  Fine, when u- does
the job or its number is still visible but if not, it is not easy to
identify the missing message:

        & f :d
        No applicable messages.

Understandable, but it would be Oh So Great![*] if "from" (perhaps even
others) would provide a bit leeway when :d is explicitly requested.
