Hi,

yes, i do to. (When you still say this in a couple of years then
i will even response with a «thank you».)

One day we will do so automatically, just keeping this for strange
server compatibility!

Yeah, it's a real pity! I use keepalive=300 and also see these
problems over and over again (changing the value is useless in my
case)!

Maybe i find the time to have a deeper look and hack it somehow
until we can implement a real solution, but sofar i'm afraid it's
hard to do, iirc IMAP doesn't guarantee stable `UID's, so if the
connection break i think it would be hard work to synchronize our
local state with what we get when we re-connect automatically...

It will take a long time, sorry, sorry, sorry :-(

What could be done? I could play a bit with OpenSSL's
SSL_CTX_set_timeout(), ensure that the alarm driven stuff writes
the `NOOP' only after *exact* keepalive= seconds (yet it is simply
started and ticks and ticks and ticks..). I hate it that we have
no select(2) based approach. Sigh.

(Btw -- thanks for those logs!)

 |I hope it helps you.
 |FYI, I'm also using imap-cache. If you need more information, \

Heh, i haven't looked at the imap-cache at all yet except fixing
one or two compiler warnings. Good to hear it still works ;->

 |ask me anything.
 |Then, I'll have to ask some questions about GPG :)

GPG? S-nail 15.0, not before. (And ArchLinux will get an updated
package soon.. :)
Ciao!

 |Best regards

P.S.: would you agree that i forward the conversation to
