Not sure if you've done this yet, but I would create a github account and put up some of your work. Anyone can say they have experience in this or that, but having a portfolio of your work is really good. Also wouldn't hurt to contribute to some open source projects. I'm not saying this is the right way to do things... just the way I'd approach it. Good luck!
