In the previous IETF meeting, we shared the progress of the AI4NET discussion in RTGWG session, and received many valuable comments, thank you so much for this. After discussion with OPS ADs, a new mailing list AINETOPS has been created for further discussion. **Purpose** The mailing list within the OPS Area will focus specifically on sharing experiences of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in network operations. The mailing list will investigate and gauge interest in whether there is concrete work that falls under the IETF activity scope to cover AI integration in network operations, network adaptation to support AI needs, or both. An initial scope will be tuned accordingly. To be clear that, the supporters' intended goal is not the creation of a new traditional IETF Working Group, but rather to build on the momentum from the recent series of AI for the network side meetings[1] and form an IETF "Special Interest Group" (SIG) together with supporters. I try to make the email short to save your time of reading, but you might have some questions, for example, what can we do in IETF regarding this? Any related I-Ds already? Any overlap with the work in IETF WGs and IRTG RGs? Welcome to send your questions and/or comments to the mailing list, any feedback is welcome!
