Dear all,
We'll have a side meeting for Standalone service ID for routing network on July
22nd 5:30-7:00 PM at Tennyson 2 and half hours after the RTGWG session.
This is the second side meeting of Standalone service ID for which we have made
good presentations and discussions at Brisbane.
The motivation is that we have some prominent use cases in which a brief
interface among service/applications, underlay network, computing sites and
terminal service points is involved, and our preliminary understanding is there
could be an unified and standalone identification mechianism to facilitate the
said use cases with significant benefits and controlled costs.
And the side meeting is intended to identify the common requirements and have a
focused discussion on: 1) the semantics of the standalone service id for
routing network; 2) the pros and cons of the practices from operators; 3) what
the existing solutions could and could not do with regard to the requirments.
We'll have 5 presentations from operators, university and vendors that would
share the use cases, solutions and practices as well as insightful thinking of
possible mechanisms.

5. 6:30-6:45 PM Standalone Service ID in L3 network, Daniel Huang (ZTE)
6. 6:45-7:00 PM Open Discussion
