Hi all, *We are happy to announce the release of rsyslog version 8.2410.0!*
This release includes improvements and bug fixes like improved network connection failure messages now include the duration of the attempt, aiding in troubleshooting slow-responding targets. A build issue on Solaris 10 has been fixed by disabling the unsupported SO_REUSEPORT option. Additionally, the minitcpsrvr testbench has been corrected to apply socket options accurately. In addition, the last release (8.2408.0) also included a big new feature in omfwd: native load balancing. This feature provides a simple round-robin load balancer for omfwd, allowing you to distribute workloads evenly across a pool of target servers. The load balancer is fully compatible with existing configuration settings and provides enhanced monitoring and rebind functionality. Make sure to read up on the changes and especially the omfwd enhancements in the full Changelog. The packages are not yet available, but will hopefully be ready tomorrow.
