Hey all, I’m wondering if it’s possible to set a Backup server directive to
multiple backends that include ports 443 and 636? The idea is that, if the
primary and secondary (when exists) are down the caller receives a static page
with a generic error text prompting them to report the issue to us. The
localhost “error” page will contain the callers source IP and a couple other
bits to help troubleshooting.

If possible.. would localhost need to be part of the front/backends SSL cert?
Can you ‘re-direct’ to another backend if the first one is down?

I realize it’s a weird scenario and there might be more appropriate methods of
handling this but I’m looking specifically at this idea.
We have a unique usage in that it’s all internal folks testing from external
sources secured by local and egress level firewalls. These internally managed.
External source platforms are.. lets say hard to get info from and support zero
diagnostics or troubleshooting functions on their own.

Thanks!

Ben
