Hi

currently running rsyslog-8.2204 with umask set to:
 $umask 0000

This will cause the pid file to have world write permissions:
# ls -la /var/run/syslogd.pid
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 5 May 9 00:25 /var/run/syslogd.pid

I am trying to avoid changing the umask since i will essentially alter any
omfile permissions currently set in my configuration.

Is there any workaround to fix this without changing the umask?

Thanks.

Dimi
