Hello! I asked Reiner a while ago regarding this and he told me he is not going to remove this.. Though there is no decision on any new syntax for this.. I'd be happy with some "omfile" options to configure a size limit and number of archives to keep. That's more than enough for most of us I guess.. well.. maybe compression program as well.. and encryption... and upload to s3/azure blob store/hdfs/whatever else.. endless story I'd say :-D
