In an offline system, I would like to automatically mirror logs to a removable disk (USB flash drive) when it becomes available. What tools or plugins or configurations could you recommend to (a) copy/sync older rotated files to the USB disk, and (b) mirror the current in-progress log files, both catching up and keeping up with new log entries.
Maybe this isn't an appropriate task for rsyslog at all and would be better solved with scripting other tools like rsync and tail?
