you are not telling it to use your template, at least from the snippet you are
showing us here.

Subject: [rsyslog] Template Not Working With Custom Format
Hi
I am using rsyslogd 8.32.0 / Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic
I am trying to save logs to files with custom format and to
specific directory with per day record.
My Current Template Format is :
*$template template_name, "Time: %$timestamp%, Hostname: %$hostname%,
Message: %$msg%, /var/log/log_name_log/%$year%/%$month%/%$day%/%$hour%.log"*
**.* ?log_name_log*
*& ~*
*I want like this in file : *
*Time : 2020-05-04 13:00, Hostname: hostname, Message: message,*
This is not working. Search net a lot but could not understand how to put
in one line or another way.
Thank you
