That would be the key - getting a ./configure log (and friends). I
unfortunately didn't do much FOSS software on mine, was using [them] to
test things against vanilla AIX.
the problem I ran into was that I wasn't able to generate the configure script
going from memory (this was a year or so ago), I think I need to do
'autoconf -fvi'
to generate configure, but I didn't have the appropriate tools. On linus this is
the pkgtools package, but I wasn't able to get my AIX admins to find the
appropriate package to install.
