HI all, Thanks to all who responded to my email and question. Thanks also to those who did not.
The solution was to use -e "ssh -l root -c arcfour" to do the actual transfer.....so that rsyncd on one host is not talking to rsyncd on the other host directly, rather ssh is being used for the actual transfer. Thanks again. I appreciate it.
