I've just released rsync 3.0.0pre4, the second pre-release version for the upcoming 3.0.0 release.

This version has the following fixes since pre3 was released:
- Fixed a hashtable problem that slowed down the overwriting of shorter
files.
- Fixed the listing of files on a daemon without --recursive or
--list-only when only the module name is given as an arg (it once
again lists all the files in the root dir).
