Keep in mind two things: 1. When log-format specifies %i, deletes are logged using the log-format you specified with "*delete" in the %i field. 2. When -x is specified, any mounted directories will be excluded from the deletions (that would be any dirs are mounted inside /mnt/backupboot, not if that dir itself is mounted). If that doesn't help you, I'll need more information on what is going wrong.
