In fact I think WinXP Home uses "simple file sharing" and that's all. But on the WinXP Home I have on my laptop I happily avoid it using "chmod/chown/chgrp" from command line ;-) You won't have complete control over the ACL, but at least you can regain ownership and change the access in an easy way.. and I guess that if you're using rsync on Windows, you already are using cygwin (knowingly or not, rsync is available on Windows ONLY through CygWin, as far as I know) - -- L a p o L u c h i n i l a p o @ l a p o . i t w w w . l a p o . i t / http://www.megatokyo.it -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (Cygwin) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkEGHJ0ACgkQaJiCLMjyUvtccwCfWcepHj8V4jkty9Vf5KomOOAt Ab0AoNZIt4HQ81zCYtO1WDZxziRhXkOD =nAWN -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe or change options: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/rsync Before posting, read: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
