Thank you for your fast reaction. I already used -vvv to check whether I was using rsh or ssh.
But thanks to yoyur remarks I got it working. The shell-service was blocked and it seemed that rsync is using that as a shell. Stangely enough: I dinn't need it to rsh to the remote server.
