This is turning out to be quite a common case to be just ignoring it and zero filling destination files. SMB misconfig NFS with UID mapping errors file truncation Windows mandatory locks. Any others? If you've a test case, have at it. I'd suggest changing the FINFO to FERROR so you will get the "some files could not be transferred" warning at the end and an exit status of 23 so a wrapper script can retry or at least look to see what the cause was. -- ________________________________________________________________ J.W.
