socks and rsync

Hi,
          I would like to be able to use a "socksified" (if that is the
word) rsync.  The purpose being that I cannot rsync to the outside world
unless I go through one of the companies socks servers.  The mystery to me
is where to find documentation on how to make this happen.  Can anyone
point me to a howto or a man page or some web doco?
