hi, i use rsync for fast fetch and restore of our nt-server. i was wondering of the fast growing backup, then noticed this: 20.02.2001 01:03 receiving file list ... readlink /mnt/hal9000/d/infoseek/public/00grafik/eigenwerbung/print/cd.1/Icon?: No such file or directory 20.02.2001 01:09 done 20.02.2001 01:09 IO error encountered - skipping file deletion it looks like a mac icon file. i compiled the kernel with allmost all kinds of fs (inc. mac fs), and still getting this message. - mount nt4 share via smbmount on local fs - using rsync 2.4.6 on red hat 6.2, kernel 2.2.18 - connect via openssh to localhost ( just to keep the script directly ) any idea to fix this? thx, axel -- if it is there and you can see it it is real if it is there and you can not see it it is transparent if it is not there and you can see it it is virtual if it is not there and you can not see it it is gone roy wilks 1983, tcp/ip networking
