I'm using 2.3.1 for a long time now, and mine hang all the time using rsh.
But I was never sure why it hang? Is it because I'm sending giga and giga
byte of data all around the world, or is it because of network or is it
rsync itself. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Due to my ongoing issues with 2.4.6, I'm planning on backrevving our
enterprise to 2.3.1. (We were using 2.2.1 before I started mucking about.)
Before I do so, I would like to know if 2.3.1 suffers from any of the
following issues:
1) SSH hangs, with any of 1.2.27, 2.3.0, or 2.4.0 (Yes, I know not many
people are using 2.4.0 yet, but we will likely be moving towards it soon.)
2) rsh hangs or errors (seems to not be an issue)
3) Include/exclude processing bugs other than the 'foo/*.c' bug already
discussed.
