Hi, We had the same issue, and the update to 1.4.7 solved it.
We did a rrdtool dump on a 32 bit server running rrdtool 1.3.8. Then moved the xml files over to a 64 bit server running rrdtool 1.3.8 as well. The rrdtool restore ran with no error messages but the data was not ok. Values like 3.7216043176e+02 became 3,0000000000e+00 RHN repos provide 1.3.8, we had to add the 1.4.7 rpm manually.
