Hi Dan, I don;t know, wheather I am understanding your problem correctly, but will try to help :)
can you give the sample of your "host1.users" file ? I would assume, that you need to run a script, which takes that file as input and issue a command like rrdtool update host1.rrd ........., (the values) -----Original Message----- From: Dan Gahlinger [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2002 11:02 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [rrd-users] newbie needs help Ok, I've asked this before but I'll ask again. I have a shell script which does this: finger @host | grep -c tty > host1.users I do that for 20 systems, to keep track of the # of users logged in, now I need to graph this over time, but I don't know how to get the data from my files into rrd I've tried reading the faq, examples and stuff, but I get lost, none of it seems to refer to what I need to do Dan. --There are always possibilities... -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Help mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Help mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi
