If his 32 bit counters are wrapping quickly (depends on utilization),
then there will be problems with this approach.  I still suggest reading the 
RFC.

If you set  the type to COUNTER  and the cf to AVERAGE,  then it's all
good, no? At least, that's what I'm doing.
