I'm using MRTG with the rrdtool option and I'm seeing similar effects. Once the rrdtune is run, will it automatically drop the incorrect data from then on? Or do I need to continue dumping and restoring to fix this?
Does MRTG set up the RRD with the proper min and max? I'll be moving away from MRTG within the next 6-12 months, but for now we need to fix this... :) --------------------------- Jason H. And how I do this? yes use rrdtool tune to set min and max properly on your rrds and then rrdtool dump it and later rrdtool restore it with the option --range-check this will kill the spikes tobi > > Markus Forrer > > > > -- > Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Help mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users > WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi > > -- ______ __ _ /_ __/_ / / (_) Oetiker, ETZ J97, ETH, 8092 Zurich, Switzerland / // _ \/ _ \/ / phoneto:+41(0)1-632-5286 faxto:+41(0)1-632-1517 /_/ \.__/_.__/_/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://google.com/search?q=tobi -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Help mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Help mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/rrd-users WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi
