By the way, the default compilation for python modules is with the flag -Wstrict-prototypes. It used to generate a number of warnings, and after I reported it on the r-devel list, it was solved (for R-2.7). (well mostly, there is a last warning: include/R_ext/Rdynload.h:26: warning: function declaration isn't a prototype )
The following part in setup.py (trunk, that is version 1.x) can eventually be changed: if DEBUG: # to avoid strict prototypes errors from R includes get_config_vars()['OPT'] = '-g -Wall' else: # to avoid strict prototypes errors from R includes get_config_vars()['OPT'] = '-DNDEBUG -g -O3 -Wall' L. 2008/5/14 Gregory Warnes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > Hi Ernesto, > These warning messages are normal, albeit annoying.
