The R package is distributed with the software and gets installed in
its tree. I set the PATH to the R bin dir directly in my python script
so it should work. At least, it does on my machine but not on the
client's machine (which I don't have access to). So I don't know what
makes it work on one XP machine and not on the other...

BTW, to comment on your previous suggestion, it is unpractical for me
at this stage to ship R 2.3.1 with CIETmap (it is the software in
question). To be clear, I say "my" software but I am really
developping it for CIET (www.ciet.org) so I don't have the final word
;)
