My 2 cents on the name bike-shedding part:
`%{span}` is alright but if we wanted a more conventional name (borrowed from
other programming/markup languages), `%{heredoc}` as suggested by @voxik
actually isn't far from the actual
[meaning](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Here_document) of this new macro, I
think.
Other ideas:
`%{literal:...}`
`%{lines:...}`
`%{pre:...}` (as in "preformatted", although ... meh)
That said, this is a pretty low level syntax thing, so a single-char name seems
attractive, too. How about:
`%{{:...}}` (not sure if this would be doable in the parser, though)
