Looking at https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/module/CheckCCompilerFlag.html
this change seems correct. But then there is the question if this really solves
anything. Do we need the unset command at all. And if so would moving it after
the foreach loop also be sufficient?
So did this issue actually break anything?
