Hi @DemiMarie Your comment is interesting from an opinion point of view, even
if the first part is absolutely true and not only an opinion then.
Also, i do consider since rpmlib and rpm are free and open source, it would be
rude to ask for even more in terms of quality if I am not asked for my opinion
on the subject while I use it and benefit from it for free. But... it is also a
state of mind because, on my side, rpm is like a present in my life and i just
said thank you and try to ask if someone is happy to answer something, not more.
And reading the code, I see that understanding how the database is made here
does not help to understand how the data is processed since everything is
stored in a file in the form of a blob. The processing of this blob bytes
requires more time to understand the algorithm, but above all, the links in the
database do not add anything to the understanding of this processing of
information (i think, i may be wrong too). so there are the ideas that we have
(for free or not) and what it really is.
Finally, it seems that there are opinions, which, if they are welcome from the
contributors involved, on the other hand, remain opinions of less value when
they come from people not or less involved in the development of the code
which, once again and this is important: is free, open, and available to
whoever wants to use it.

I therefore suggest that you can start to show the road to document this code
to the extent of your possibilities and post a PR. I think that the best doc on
such a long algorithm is UML diagrams to get a large view about what is
happening (my zero bucks opinion). It's a lot of work, a lot of time... for
free. Thank you for that ladies and gentlemen.
