Addressed differently in e73c9827a5ad492e6f86d387fa17b1011a09057a by 
eliminating the offending %undefine part. This is to say, that particular 
behavior is undefined as I said, if you want to use a macro with adjacent 
surrounding text, use the %{} form, eg

> --eval ."%{undefine:x}".
