I suspect you might be recording in multiple-take mode, which is for a different purpose. The usual procedure for multitrack recording is as follows:

Arm (yellow light) track 1. Make sure no other tracks are armed. Record. A recording segment should appear on track 1. Stop when done.

Un-arm track 1 and arm track 2. Record. A recording segment should appear on track 2. Stop when done.

Now play and you should hear both. There are problems that can crop up, though, so if it still isn't working, we'll need to look a little more closely at your setup.

To "arm" or "un-arm" a track, click on the yellow light to the left of the track. When lit, the track is armed. You can hover over the lights to get a tooltip explaining what each one is for. (I can never keep solo and mute straight, so I use the tooltips all the time.)

I am starting to play a little bit with rosegarden an recording tracks.

I've figured out how to record tracks.

I recorded a track, and then to record the second one, I press record,
and I can get the first track to play while recording the second.

Well, when I want to listen to the recorded tracks together, I can not
get this to work:(

I can only hear one of the other.

How can I get both tracks to play at once?

Thanks

Joseph
