Not much of a difference based on what I can see on the website: The Solo has one three-pronged XLR mic port and one TRS phone mic port. Whereas both ports on the 2i2 can accept either the three-pronged XLR cable or a TRS phone cable. I'm assuming that the Focusrite plugs into the computer via > USB, is that what you're doing? > Yup. > If you have any other comments on how you hook it up or use > it lemme know (sounds like you might not have used it in a while). > Nope. It was pretty straight-forward. Well, if you're on a Linux box, I recommend getting Pipewire installed if you haven't already, since it seems to do much better at seeing the Focusrite for exactly what it is. Prior to getting Pipewire working, the system used the Focusrite fine, but with less "awareness" of it. (I haven't taken full advantage, but my sense is that now various patchbay software is going to be able to do more with all of my various audio toys. I only have a few, but still...)
