Hi First of all, I am new to Rosegarden and MIDI in Linux.
I tried to figure out, how to use the banks and instruments in Rosegarden for my Roland JV-1010. Thanks to Andreas Noebert there is rgd file, which I loaded successfully. The JV-1010 is set to "Performace". If I select "Preset A" and Instrument "64voicePiano", then for unknown reason instrument number 7 is selected on the JV-1010 in the desired MIDI channel. If I select in Rosegarden the second instrument of "Preset A", then instrument 29 is select and so on. I am lost here. I checked the Roland JV-1010 rgd file and compared with the JV-1010 documenation. It is looking fine to me. I also had a look into the binary format of msb, lsb and instrument, but I did not find a relation between setting and result. General MIDI works 100% as expected. I use the ALSA driver an qjackctrl. Ubuntu 14.04, latest Rosegarden of the Ubunto repository.
