//Sorin === cut here === Role: Senior Network Consultant Location: Essen, Germany Company: Global Network Integrator Type of contract: Permanent (1 year contract is an option too) Yearly remuneration: 80-85K EUR Job purpose To work with major Telecom Vendor/ ISP customers of Insoft; To provide high quality network design, service design, planning, engineering and implementation, installation, service commissioning, escalation level troubleshooting to the customers Responsibilities Work in a consultative manner with customers, sales, customer services and systems engineering to scope and deliver professional service projects. -Produce and review technical Statement of Work documentation including resource estimates to clearly define project coverage, deliverables, effort, inputs, outputs and assumptions -Technical lead for major network deployments and migrations -Produce design-, validation, and migrations plans. Lead implementation and/or execution of those plans -Evaluate customer networks for performance, scalability, and security and provide recommendations to customers about improvements to network configurations and topologies to prevent problems before they occur. -Work closely with the customer’s personnel (partners and end-users) to help test, design, and plan for deployments of new products and features. -Support networks in early stages of deployment -Ensure that all projects are documented and signed off by the customer -Act as a Professional Services project leader on larger projects, co-ordinating the work of a larger delivery team; act as a project manager when appropriate, owning overall responsibility for network implementation. -Provide appropriate training and assistance to partners and customers -Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer's technical management and teams Skills -Very strong knowledge (typically JNCIP/ JNCIE or CCIE RS/SP level) of the operation, design principles and troubleshooting of network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, CoS/QoS, IGMP, PIM, L2/L3 VPN’s, BRAS, etc. -Strong knowledge of common Router Interfaces and Protocols is essential, e.g. Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, SONET/SDH, ATM, Frame Relay, PPP, etc. -Concepts and/or working experience with: Network Management, UNIX. -Effective consultancy, planning & communication skills, excellent inter-personal skills, ability to work on multiple projects and manage customers appropriately (and independently). -Education to degree level preferred, with typically 6-7 years experience in a technical role, including 3 years spent supporting large IP networks - Must be a team player and able to work independently in multi-cultural and international environment === and here === _______________________________________________ anunt mailing list [email protected] http://lists.lug.ro/mailman/listinfo/anunt _______________________________________________ RLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.lug.ro/mailman/listinfo/rlug
