Hi everyone,

Having noticed that the primary beam in one of our instruments is rather
weakfish, I had a look at the monochromator crystal to find that, to my horror, it is
severely oxidized. Does anyone of this group know what the best gentle way to get rid
of the oxides layer would be? Can one use NH4F to chemically polish Ge like
electronics people do with Si?

        Thanks for any comments, AlexY
