When an update breaks just about every plugin used on a system (I only use two that affect the GUI in any way and both are affected) you can't really say the fault lies with the plugin can you! If it was only one and it was the plugin which had been updated it would be a different matter. But as my other response states I now think it may lie somewhere else such as some strange Python bug/conflict (which again wouldn't be something I'd expect the plugin developers to have a clue on faulting, whereas the API designer on the otherhand.....)
