Yes, you are right, there are just few differences for now. The first list of artists (the one with images) is a list of related artists that you have in your library. Clicking on each artist filters the global search. This is for the first 0.1. Then the idea is to provide a right click context menu with different functions and the left click should open a TreeView with the most popular song (that you have) of that artist.
The second list is just a TreeView with a number of suggested artists And clicking on each should send you to the related last.fm page. Now i am playing with python-clutter to provide a new UI with animation, i hope to have something nice soon to show you! Anyway i'm looking forward to know moreā details on Jamie's project, just because i prefer to co-operate with someone to develop a single great plugin.
